Free Consultation
There is a free consultation offered that will last approximately 30-60 minutes. In contrast to traditional OB care, midwifery care is unique and personalized to your individual needs. During the consultation you will have the opportunity to ask many questions.
Prenatal Visits
The Midwifery model provides comprehensive & holistic prenatal care in your own home or at midwives office. The midwife provides nutrition guidance for optimal wellness. Appointments last approximately an hour. Assuming you are starting care during your first trimester, visits are monthly up to 28 weeks, then every 2-3 weeks until 36 weeks. At 36 weeks the visit will be held at your home in preparation for homebirth. Visits then become weekly in the office until birth.
Labor & Birth
Birth within the comfort of your own home with the birth team and your supports persons. Being at home facilitates the natural birthing process.
Post-Partum Visits
The midwife is on-call for your postpartum period 24-7 for any concerns you have and for breastfeeding support. The midwife will make a call around the 24 hrs mark following birth to check on mom and baby. At around 24-48hr, a Serene Midwifery team member will come to your home for a visit (that is when the newborn screening is preformed). Lastly, at around 1, 3 and 6 weeks postpartum, moms and babies will come back to the Serene Midwifery office.

for Families choosing Hospital-Based Birth
Receive postpartum care from our Serene Midwifery Care Team! This service is perfect for families opting for a hospital birth, however, still desiring midwifery care. Improved outcomes in: mental health, nutrition, breastfeeding, & bonding.
