I see pregnancy and childbirth as a natural process, not as a sickness that requires intervention. It is my philosophy that the health of the mother and child can best be promoted when the client and midwife have mutual trust and responsibilities in preparation for the birth. I believe that women are well-suited to attend to other women during the life changing journey of pregnancy, labor and birth. I consider your pregnancy and birth to be your journey, and me being a part of your collaborative team.

​My goal is to educate, assess, counsel, assist, and provide primary care for my clients. For the normal to low risk woman, out of hospital birth provides many benefits to both parents and their babies. Every family has a right to high quality personalized prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum care. Different families choose birth at home for different reasons and those differences should be respected. It is the right and the responsibility of the parents to make informed choices regarding their pregnancy, labor and birth. As such they have both the right and responsibility to become informed and knowledgeable as a couple, that they may share together in the decision-making. I offer family-centered Midwifery care within my scope of practice by supporting the decisions that you make.
